About Ebong Eka, CPA
Ebong Eka was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he majored in Accounting and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Accountancy. While at Calvin College, Eka played varsity basketball and received All-Conference Honorable Mention accolades.
Before entering the accounting profession, Eka played two years of professional basketball in Europe, after which moved to the Washington, DC area to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
With over ten years in the accounting, tax and business consulting arenas and as a CPA for many companies, Eka has built a successful business toolkit. Eka has utilized his experiences to develop information products, seminars and trainings for a variety of clients. Through MoneyMentoringMinutes.com, his team seeks to provide educational trainings and resources for new & existing entrepreneurs.
Eka has worked with many large professional services firm such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte and Touche and BDO Seidman. He also managed tax consulting and compliance projects for partnerships, S-corporations and C-corporations clients in a variety of industries. Eka was responsible for giving client presentations and various employee soft-skills training.

The goal is to encourage the growth of financial acuity and empowerment through blog posts, videos and financial insights. Through his consulting firm Ericorp Consulting, Inc., Eka continues to be a small business champion to help small businesses grow and prosper. Eka also believes that Personal Responsibility and Accountability are important in order to take control of one’s financial journey.
